Memorial weekend

I didn’t really do much over this long weekend.

I did have fun on Sunday evening when I got together with a bunch of my friends for dinner and then for some drinks. We started the evening off by trying a small french cafe restaurant. The food was just okay, a little too overpriced. The desserts were really yummy! We decided to pick out four different desserts to share among all of us. I chose chocolate mousse, and I’ve never had mousse as thick as this place makes it. Let me just say if you made the mousse sweeter, you could use it as chocolate frosting. My other favorite dessert was the creme brulee. Mmmmm Yummy!

After dinner we headed over to a small sort of fancy hotel that is here in Burbank, to try out some drinks at the hotel bar. It was basically to have some more time to hangout, catch up, and have some laughs. Of course you know hotels usually charge a lot for alcoholic beverages and this place was no exception. A small midori sour cost me $12 dollars….insane.

Yesterday (Monday)…My family just celebrated memorial day here at home by cooking a lot of food. So it was a good way to end the long weekend.

Also, my older brother as of this past weekend is now engaged. =)
